Do you agree with this? Will it change the surgeons attitude to saving your life if you are are suitable donor to another person? Can your family over-ride your authorisation on your licence? Do the family still have to consent if if your licence says your are a donor?","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"43941610","body":"i see organ donations as a single persons decision and they shouldnt be judged on this. i myself am listed as an organ donner, same with the rest of my family. i dont believe that it is likly for a surgeons "attitude" to be changed if a person is an organ doner or not, in the end of the day they still gfet payed if they save organ doners or not.
\n
\ni think it is a good idead to become and organ donner. the way i see it is that if i'm not using the my organs when im dead there better helping someone else surive for the maxium time they can.
\n
\nthere is much need for organs as there are huge waiting lists for multipule different organs. It is a good decision to become an organ doner, even though it is abit brutal.","dateCreated":"1318219528","smartDate":"Oct 9, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"inb4u","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/inb4u","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1318806906\/inb4u-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"44132769","body":"My opinion on organ donation is dicision that must be made by the individual person and if that dicision is that is made everyone should just acept it and let it be done. It raises many medical, legal and ethical issues and there have been few cases of successful xenotransplantation.
\nCell, tissue and organ transplants from the same species (allotranplantation) is a fantastic advancement in medicine and certainly has many benefits. Non-human transplants on the other hand are very unnatural and in my opinion should be left alone entirely.","dateCreated":"1318392232","smartDate":"Oct 11, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"rmaguire7","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/rmaguire7","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}}],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
